Bonsai’s are relatively easily acquired these days, as some garden centres have a few inexpensive ones on offer. So a 10year oldish tree that you can buy already has had it's form created, you just need to clip it every so often. I purchased an Elephant Bush tree some years ago. Forgot to clip it so I had a few slightly longer branches I didn't want, so, I chopped it and placed it in a small amount of soil with gravel (or you could put it in a glass of water). Easy! It quickly grows it's own roots, enabling you to plant a new Bonsai of your own making. Although with any Bonsai careful not to water too much, or too little, and, do not put it near a radiator.
But if you really want to cheat and have it easy and not have something you need to look after how about one of these from Bonsire?!
How amazing are these? I saw him partly make one of these a few years ago on a programme (think it was a Country File style programme). They are individually hand crafted by Ian Stewart. Made from wire and beads this wonderful crafted item can take up to three weeks to create. Check out his site, Facebook page for more information on how to purchase one of these.
