Thacka Beck

Back in September 2017 the art group I belong, Eden Valley Artist Network, set out a challenge to Paint Penrith in a day. Eight hours to be exact. The painting had to be started and completed on that one day and within three miles of the E.V.A.N Art gallery. Thacka Beck is a nature reserve that was created to provide flood protection for the Cumbrian town of Penrith. Every so often you may see the Longhorn cows grazing in and around the reserve. There are plenty of Mallards and a few Moorhens to watch on your walk around Thacka Beck. |
