ART
Natalie Smillie is one of the first Illustrators I started to follow on Twitter, whilst the art I see popping up every now and then on her twitter feed is computerised it is absolutely lovely, bright and imaginative. Natalie lives just outside the hustle and bustle of Glasgow. She can usually be found at her work desk with copious amounts of Tea, wrapped in a cardigan with a hot water bottle hiding (it's grim and cold 'Up North' 10months of the year), chomping on toffee as she feverishly creates new Fairytale artwork. And as she is lost in her work,
Kingston is watching over (who is Kingston? Click here)

Have a look here to see the process of a Mermaid under the sea.
And here's her blog.
Natalie is represented by the Bright Agency so if you would like her to illustrate a children's book you are writing get in touch.

BEER
Innis & Gunn - Spiced Rum Finish.
You'd be fooled into thinking as you pour the beer into your glass that you've mistakenly poured a bottle of Morgan's or if you are posh and have some dosh Appleton Estate Rum into your glass. It smells lovely. For me it is just like someone has spiked my spicy rum drink with malted water! No that's good!, But, not if you have actually poured the Appleton Estate Rum (I'd take it back, or put it in the Christmas cake if I was you.)

This is another I&G beer that I need to add to my must have again list. However I do have to admit to one thing. It's been in the cupboard since January 2014 (bought in Aldi) and I've only just realised it's OFD date was October 2014! OOOps! Word to the wise though – never ever through out of date beer away till you've tried it especially if it's a highish alcohol percentage.

COVERED IN WEEDS
The lovely Forget Me Not seems to be popping up where ever I go this month. It even appeared in the lawn. Guess I now know what was in that little broken plastic pot when I decided to empty the soil into a bare patch! Lovely surprise though. But did you know..

Back in 15th century Germany, when it was dank, smoky, smelly, horrible and Knights were riding around pledging love to fair maidens and slaying dragons just to show off. There was one Knight in Shinning armour who had pledged his love to the maiden of his dreams whilst taking a stroll by a river before he was sent back to the battle fields. Before they parted he bent down to pick some flowers right on the edge of the river bank. The inevitable happened and due to poor core strength, balance and flipping heavy armour he fell into the river! But as he struggled to doggy paddle (or as I called it once Spooning! - Don't ask) and stay a float he managed to throw the posy of flowers to his lady exclaiming 'Forget-me-not!' And then he was fish food for the next few days and a flower was named.

MUSINGS
This is going to sound really sad but I'm enjoying 'pants' T.V at the moment. And the worse part, It's all American – no British TV. So what is holding my attention at the moment well for starters (and it's all recorded – I'm forever playing catchup)
MotoGP
Loving the battles for 3rd, 4th and 5th at the minute. I am however starting to fear that the racing is going the same way as last year. Once the first lap is completed and the first place has a couple of seconds lead, he then increases the gap on each lap whilst the other positions battle for the lower positions. However I am glad Jorge has got his bite back. Andrea Iannone I saw racing a number of years back at Donnington Park and quite liked him, so it's nice to see him now battling for the top positions. But one thing is for sure, The old GOAT is definitely proving that the old chicken can still make good soup. Go! Go! Go!

So I'm also watching … Brace yourself..
The Good Wife
Gotham
Revenge - (is your image of me going to go fast down hill?)
Any of the CIS (including NCIS New Orleans & L.A) it records which I've not watched before.
Nashville – yes I watch a Country singing programme – surprised me too. I even bought Season 1 soundtrack – even though I've only watched Season 2 and now on Season 3. Shocked? Yes I am too!
Person of Interest
Empire
and finally
Mysteries of Laura.
Heaven only knows what I'm going to watch when all these finish for the season!
What's caught your eye on T.V at the moment, or at the cinema?
Tunes for the week
David Guetta - Hey Mama ft Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack
and because Nicki Minaj reminds of of this lady when she sings
Alesha - Drummer Boy
especially when she was in this band..
Mis-Teeq - Scandalous
and one more for the road. Anyone watching Britain's Got talent? On this i think I'm going to audition next year!! Although it is catchy and Radio 1 keep playing clips in a morning.
